Alexandra Bocon is an Interior Design Project Manager with a wealth of industry experience. Born in Brooklyn Heights, NY in 1984, Bocon would spend her formative childhood years in the greater Boston area. It was there that Alexandra's love of the arts would be cultivated.

While in Catholic grade school, Bocon was an active dancer with a focus on ballet. Even before her teenage years Alexandra performed several times for the Boston Ballet's production of the Nutcracker. At a young age Bocon also became a flutist, playing alongside other musicians in church performances on a regular basis. The flute wasn't the only thing Alexandra insisted on playing during her pre-teen years, as she began what would become a lifelong interest in basketball by participating on both her school team as well as in a local town league. Bocon's basketball prowess would continue throughout high school.

Alexandra attended a private, all-girls high school where her artistic side really began to blossom. After winning third-place honors in a statewide art competition with a unique watercolor submission, Bocon continued to cultivate both her art skills and her portfolio as she worked towards what would eventually become a career in interior design.

Aside from basketball, Alexandra also took a liking to the game of golf during high school; playing on her high school team for four years and eventually reaching the rank of team captain. Bocon also dedicated a great deal of time to community service in high school, attending church-sponsored mission projects where she worked with mentally-challenged children in San Antonio as well as built houses for those in need in Pennsylvania.

Once she turned 18, Alexandra headed back to where it all started in New York City; obtaining a four-year Bachelor of Arts degree in Interior Design. While attending college Bocon worked at several part-time jobs including Starbucks, West Elm and smaller design residential firms. It was at these firms where she gained crucial experience in the industry that would prepare Alexandra for her first full-time job as a professional.

Soon after graduation, Bocon landed a design assistant position at a small residential interior design firm named Joseph Kremer, Inc. where Alexandra would be tasked with tracking purchases, selecting fabrics and creating inviting homes for clients. Bocon would eventually leave Joseph Kremer for a junior designer position at a more high-profile firm, Sandra Nunnerley. It was there where Alexandra worked closely with both the owner and lead designer to create beautiful apartments and homes around the city and the tri-state area. As Bocon continued to grow, so did her opportunities. This eventually led to a position with an even larger firm, Bilhuber & Associates, where Alexandra would work on high-end residential projects for four years as well as obtain a Master's Degree in Design Management.

After six years in the residential sector of interior design, Bocon decided to take her career in a different direction by delving into the commercial side of the industry. Alexandra went on to work for esteemed architect and designer Peter Marino, concentrating mainly on residential projects in the Hamptons. Bocon also had the opportunity to work on retail projects during this time, including a cafe within a family-owned shopping mall in Seoul, South Korea. Alexandra was then recruited by Ralph Lauren, at which point she chose to leave Peter Marino Architecture to work for the esteemed fashion designer for the next two years.

Bocon's athletic interests have also resurfaced in recent years, as Alexandra has become an avid runner; participating in several annual races including the Boston Athletic Association's 10K, the Falmouth Road Race and the Beach to Beacon 10K. The physical nature of the sport along with the community atmosphere that it fosters are just some of the reasons why Bocon has devoted a significant amount of her free time to running. Alexandra's fiance is also an avid runner who participates in some of these same races.

Community outreach is also still a part of Bocon's life, as it was during Alexandra's school years. Bocon has served on the event board for BRIC, a non-profit arts media organization located in Alexandra's birthplace and hometown of Brooklyn.
